Put a free ad in your local paper

Take the cat to a local Vet and have her scanned for a microchip.
Check with local Vets and Pet shops for "Lost Cat" flyers.
Make "Found Cat" flyers and distribute them in your neighborhood. You should also post them at Vets, Pet shops and any local businesses.
Call your local Animal Control to report a found cat.

Post flyers all around your neighborhood and surrounding areas. Hand them out to your neighbors.

Call your local animal shelter.
You may have to visit the shelter as many will not check the cats for you over the phone.
Ask to see their live/dead log.
The cat may be very close to your house.
Put food outside and check with your neighbors to see you you can look under their house, in their garage, shed or anywhere they might be hiding.
You may need to set up a humane trap if the cat is scared and will not come to you.
