The California Healthy Pets Act (AB 1634) A mandatory spay/neuter bill that would require the spaying and neutering of most cats and dogs. It is authored and was introduced by Assembly member Lloyd Levine. More details on the website. www.cahealthypets.com What happened??? I was one of those cute kittens up there at the top last year. I'm Miranda. I turned 1 year old on 4-15-08. Take another look at me. Please!!!
UPDATE: I've been adopted!!! I went to my new home on 9-14-08. I was adopted with Zelda, one of the kittens from Culver City. I am still kind of scared and hiding under the bed, but I'm eating and letting my new mom pet me. I will keep you updated on my progress. UPDATE 9-22-08. I am feeling a little more comfortable. I am playing with my new sister and even letting her groom me. I am not sure I'm ready to groom her yet. I am purring and stretching when my new mom pets me. I think I like it here and will stay. UPDATE 10-2-08. I am liking it here more every day. I am coming out more and even found a great place to sleep (on top of my moms stomach). My mom thinks I'm the most beautiful cat in the world. I could have told her that! :) UPDATE 10-29-08. My family and I just moved to a new house and I just love it. I love to romp and around and play with my sister and cuddle when I get tired. They picked just the right house for me. I'm a very happy girl. | | |

They were two feral kittens who came from different places but soon became very attached to each other. Almost six years later, they are still just as bonded. Click on their picture to see them now. (Picture taken 5/08) We were so taken by their friendship we have used their original kitten picture on our business card ever since.
Stray Cat
Oh, what unhappy twist of fate
Has brought you homeless to my gate?
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter, warmth , and food
For from that day I ceased to be
The master of my destiny.
While he, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house the law.
He scratched the furniture and shed
And claimed the middle of my bed.
He ruled in arrogance and pride
And broke my heart the day he died.
So if you really think, oh Cat,
I'd willingly relive all that
Because you come forlorn and thin
Well...don't just stand there...Come on in!
